dB
The decibel (dB) is used to determine a sound level and is a measure of the sound pressure or volume (abbreviation dB). The sound pressure is measured by a measuring device and displayed on a scale as sound level and is measured for instance where machinery induced noise impacts on the people.

Dew-point temperature
The temperature of the air that has a humidity of 100% is called the dew-point temperature. Condensation occurs, when humidity maintains while at the same time the air temperature lowers. It is possible that dew-point temperatures occur at different positions: Dew-point temperature in the gap between the panes of insulating glass. The dew-point temperature of a new insulating glass should be greater or equal to 60° C in the gap between the panes. The temperature is defined according to DIN 52 345 and secures the durability of the insulating glass and is also a sign of quality. The dew-point temperature of the inside of the glass surface causes condensation whenever warm air suddenly contacts the cold surface, or when relatively cold air comes in conjunction with moisture (e.g. bathrooms). Thermal protection glass can clearly reduce the tendency to condensate, since the improved k-value increases the temperature inside of the glass surface.

DIN
Meaning:
German Institute for Standardization, based in Berlin.
The registered association brings together manufacturers, consumers, trade, commerce, service providers, researchers, technical surveillance organizations and official agencies to the table to determine the state of the art and record in standards. There is a wide range of DIN standards for windows available.

Double window
Double windows are two separate windows and are usually installed where a simple window doesn't meet the demands and requirements for the insulation or soundproofing. The double window box is designed so that two separate frames in conjunction with the glass surfaces together form a box.
