g-value
The total energy transmittance of window glazing is called the g-value and has a wavelength range for solar radiation from 300 nm to 2500 nm. For the calculation of climatic conditions, this value is of great importance and is usually expressed as a percentage. The g-value derives from the value of the direct solar transmittance and the value of the secondary heat output inwardly due to long-wave radiation and convection.

Gaps between panes
With an insulating glass pane the distance between the panes is usually 10.5 mm and 16 mm in width and is filled with air or inert gases. The gap between the panes is also called air gap.

Gas filling
Modern functional insulating glass is provided with different gas fillings to improve the functions in the thermal and sound insulation area. The substance consists of krypton or argon or a mixture of these two. Sound values of these modern glazings therefore achieve Ug-values of up to 0.5 W/m²K and sound insulation values up to Rw=56 dB. In addition, SF6 is used in sound insulation glazing. Due to the technical development of glass however it is possible for us to abstain from gas mixture in our products, that contribute to greenhouse gases.

The window is fastened with a belt in a specially constructed steel frame, the so called glass trestle, and afterwards can be easily transported to our customers.

Glazing bar insulating glass
Real glazing bar insulating glass windows must withstand greater physical stress in comparison with large insulating glass. Unlike large-sized insulating glass panes, the real glazing bar insulating glass cannot compensate for the elasticity of the glass panes through pumping and suction motion. The following glazing bar insulating glass systems are offered: "Helima glazing bars" and "Vienna glazing bars." With "Helima glazing bars", optically equivalent glazing bars are installed as a powder coated aluminum glazing bar in the gap between the panes. The powder coating can be selected from standard colors and RAL shades. Even wood structure imitations can be supplied. "Vienna glazing bars" is a system that consists of built-in spacer profiles, which have no direct contact to the glass surfaces. The glazing bar profiles are placed from the outside. This creates the impression of a real glazing bar insulating glass. However, the physical stresses disappear.

Glazing bar window
With glazing bar windows, the pieces of the glass are smaller than the area of the window sash. To connect the individual glass panes, narrow strips of wood (the so-called “Vienna glazing bar”) or metal (“Helima” or “inner glazing bar”) are located in the gap inbetween. Glazing bar windows are mostly used in timbered houses, in accordance with architecture and monumental conservation.

Glazing bars
Glazing bars are used to decorate a facade where real transom windows with a glass dividing glazing bar would be more expensive. But there is also the possibility of using glazing bar applications. These are either fitted or located between the panes. There are several options: the one-sided founded glazing bar, a glazing bar in the gap between the panes, the dual-sided glazing bar with or without blind glazing bar in the cavity, or a true glazing bar that continuously goes from inside to outside and is glass dividing. Another advantage of a real glazing bar is the protection against burglary. Fake glazing bars are also known as decorative latticework. In addition available are removable glazing bars for cleaning the glass and glazing bar-frame headers as rotary sash on the outside of windows.

Groove dimension
The distance between the roller shutter guide rails, which the roller shutter runs in is determined by the groove-dimension.
