Warm edge
The so-called "warm edge" designates the thermally seperated edge seal of insulating glazing. The conventional edge seal is made of heat diverting aluminum whereas the thermal seperated "warm edge" is made from plastic or stainless steel, and therefore improves the u-value of the insulating glazing (Ug) about 0.1 W/m²K. Based on a test object of a 1-sash-window with the size of 1230 x 1480 mm, the overall construction of the window (Uw) is improved by 0.1 W/m²K.

Window sill
Window sills can be installed both, outside and inside. Exterior window sills can be brick-built and covered with a metal plate such as aluminum, zinc or lead. The face of the window sill is always inclined outward to ensure an outflow of rain water. Window sills in the interior are often used as a cover for the niche of the heater. The material used should be chosen so that it is dimensionally stable against heat, if placed immediately in the vicinity of the heater (e.g. werzalit or marble).

Window sill connection profile
The window sill connection profile is attached at the bottom of the window and ensures the inclusion of the window sill in the inner or outer area of the room. The window sills in the interior are usually made of wood, werzalit or marble and the exterior is mostly made of stone or aluminum. The connection profile is narrower compared to the window frame thus there is the possibility to push the inner and outer window sill underneath. The profiles generally have a height of 30-50 mm.
